Joren Dom will stay at Beerschot for at least a year longer. Our versatile defender had his contract extended until June 2023. So far Dom played 115 games for Beerschot, 23 of them in Division 1A. He scored 7 goals and produced 3 assists.
“I am glad I can stay at Beerschot for at least two more years and be part of the squad that will try to fulfill its ambitions to become a regular in Division 1A”, Dom says. “I came here when Beerschot started their first season in Division 1B and also played my first games on top level. That will hopefully continue the next couple of years as well.”
Vice chairman Walter Damen sounds optimistic. “Joren Dom makes me think of Napoleon. They are very familiar: both well organized and hard working. Dom is a born leader. That is the mean reason why we want to keep him on our books for as long as we can.”
Also coach Will Still is more than happy now that Joren Dom will stay at the club. “He is a true professional. It is great to have a player of his ability at our disposal. The last couple of years Joren has proved his value for the team and I am sure he will keep doing that.”
