One, two, three… After Joren Dom and Marius Noubissi it was now Reda Halaimia’s turn to see his contract extended. Our Algerian wingback signed a new deal that will keep him at Beerschot until June 2023. During the last two seasons Halaimia played 40 games for our club.
“I feel at ease and at home here. Beerschot is a club with a big tradition and fan base. And I am proud to be part of it. On top of that it has always been my dream to play first division football, and I can achieve all this here at Beerschot”, Halaimia explains.
“Reda is an important player within our squad”, says assistant coach Frank Dauwen. “With his attacking impulses and tireless running ability he is the prototype of a modern defender. And in that respect also quite indispensable.”
Club director Gunther Dieltjens agrees. “Despite his young age – he is still only 24 years old – Halaimia is a full member of the Algerian national team setup, which means he is very experienced already. He has a lot of potential to get even better, so by extending his contract for two more years we give him the opportunity to do so here at Beerschot.”
