Yan Vorogovskiy opened the score when he drilled the ball home at the far post, with Loris Brogno providing the cross. A couple of minutes later Fré Frans made it 0-2 with a header from an inch perfect Rapha Holzhauser free kick.
After the break also Loris Brogno got on the score sheet with a header, from a Jan Van den Bergh cross. Waasland-Beveren got a late consolation goal, making the final score 1-3.
