CLUB NEWS

I SAID YES

Denis Prychynenko is Beerschot's latest ambassador. "I didn't have to think about it when I was asked if I was interested to become an ambassador", Prychynenko says. "After five glorious seasons here I not only fell in love with the club and its fantastic supporters, but also with the city of Anwerpen. I am honoured. From now on Denis Prychynenko and Beerschot will be inseparable."

Denis Prychynenko, who proudly shows off his "XIII" tattoo on his stomach, received a great sending off from the club last Friday, with a diploma, his very own spot on Beerschot's Wall of Fame, a special shirt and the promise the Olympic Stadium doors will always be open for him. "It was an emotional night for me. I would like to thank the club directors and the fans for their support and the respect they showed me. I made lots of friends here."

"I don't know yet what the future will bring. I have a couple of options, both in Belgium and abroad. I will sit down and think about it the next couple of weeks... and then decide where I will be playing football next season. But whenever I can I will pop in at Beerschot. The relationship I have with this club is for life."

"After De Strangers, Juan Lozano and Radja Nainggolan, Denis Prychynenko is now our fourth Beerschot Ambassador... and he is a perfect choice", vice chairman Walter Damen explains the club's decision. "With his mentality and his personality. The bond between him and the club is exceptional. Having to say goodbye after five good seasons is always painful but with offering him the title of club Ambassador we want to show our respect and gratitude for his professional attitude and the way he promoted our club. Both for Denis and Beerschot this is the perfect sending off."
