The attacking midfielder brings a wealth of experience with him. Over the course of his career, he has already played 607 professional matches, including 74 appearances for the Japanese national team. Haraguchi is also no stranger to German football, having featured in 173 Bundesliga matches between 2014 and 2023 for clubs such as Stuttgart, Union Berlin, Hannover, Hertha Berlin, and Düsseldorf.

Last season, he returned to his homeland to rejoin Urawa Reds. However, Genki is a true football man at heart and has ambitions to become a coach in Europe after his playing career. With that in mind, he now chooses an adventure at Beerschot. The Japanese international is visibly excited about his new challenge:
