Dear Beerschot Fans
On 13 October 2024, I was entrusted with the responsibility of leading Beerschot as Chairman at a time when the club had only two points. It was never going to be an easy mission, but together — with the incredible support of Oliver Seitz, Steve Nuyts, Murat Akin and Dehan Ogetbil — we collected 24 points and reached the quarter-finals of the Belgian Cup for the first time in 13 years.
Although we could not avoid relegation, we regained the trust and respect of our supporters, especially thanks to the work done during the January and summer transfer windows. Today, we leave behind an unbeaten team worthy of the Beerschot spirit, guided by a young and promising manager and talented technical staff.
I am deeply grateful to HRH Prince Abdullah, Abdullah Alghamdi and everyone at United World for standing by me through thick and thin. My special thanks go to Oliver, Steve, Murat, Dehan and Tom for being by my side day and night to get us to where we are today.
Most of all, I want to thank you — our fans — for your passion, loyalty and support throughout my time as Chairman. You are the heart of this club. I wish Kinpoudou Holdings every success as they take Beerschot on its next adventure.
We are Beerschot. We do what we want.
Until we meet again — thank you and goodbye.
Selahattin Baki
Chairman
