Beerschot defeat Patro Eisden in goal-thriller Match - report 05 Sep What a night at the Kiel. Beerschot defeated Patro Eisden 4-2 after a spectacular and action-packed encounter.

The Mannekes fell behind early on but fought their way back into the game. Jelle Vossen and Arnold Vula both scored twice to give the Purple and White fans an unforgettable evening.

The visitors made the better start to the game. After just five minutes, Tsubasa Kasayanagi took advantage of a quick transition. The Japanese attacker was given space and fired the ball past William Popp at the near post to make it 0-1.
Beerschot did not let the early setback unsettle them and gradually took control of the game. Toshio Lake tried his luck with a deflected shot, while Haraguchi came close to an equaliser with a free kick towards the top corner. At the other end, Beerschot narrowly avoided conceding a second when Verstraete headed the ball past Popp following a corner, only for Haraguchi to clear it off the line.

The equaliser was getting closer and closer. Arnold Vula saw his effort saved by Belin, while Plat then missed a golden opportunity, firing over the bar from close range.

Eventually, Beerschot got the deserved equaliser. After a scramble in front of goal, the ball fell to Jelle Vossen, who calmly slotted home from close range to make it 1-1. Following a lengthy review, the goal was eventually awarded. Beerschot therefore went into the break level at 1-1.

Vula provides instant fireworks

The second half was only seconds old when Beerschot took the lead. Toshio Lake delivered a perfect cross and Arnold Vula produced a superb touch to divert the ball past Belin. A goal to savour: 2-1.
The Mannekes then went in search of a third goal. Lake put in an excellent cross, but Audoor was unable to force the ball over the line. Vossen and Wright-Phillips also tried to capitalise on the rebound.
After 72 minutes, the Kiel witnessed a special moment. Mats Rits made his return to Beerschot, fifteen years after leaving the club. The midfielder received a thunderous reception from the home supporters as he came on for Toshio Lake.
With fifteen minutes remaining, Beerschot received another boost. Haji Mnoga went in heavily on Arnold Vula and was shown a straight red card following a video review. Patro Eisden were reduced to ten men.

Vossen makes it 3-1

Beerschot sensed an opportunity and pushed forward. Sem Audoor worked tirelessly and delivered a low cross into the box, where Jelle Vossen was waiting to score his second of the night. The 3-1 sparked huge celebrations in the stands.
Patro Eisden, however, refused to give up. The visitors continued to search for a way back into the game and found it. Substitute Zakaria Atteri surprised Popp with a fine finish from a tight angle to make it 3-2 and bring the tension back to the Kiel.
The Mannekes remained composed and continued to attack in the closing stages. Anas Haj Mohamed created another good opportunity for Jordanov, but his effort went just wide.
The decisive moment finally arrived deep into stoppage time. Haj Mohamed produced another excellent move and delivered a superb assist towards the far post. Arnold Vula kept his composure and fired his second of the evening past Belin to make it 4-2. K Beerschot VA
