Beerschot – Dender: 0-0
Beerschot were beaten at home by Dender on Sunday luchtime with a goal in the last minute of the game. Our Mannekes didn't find a gap in the Dender defence, where goalkeeper Gies was unbeatable with some great saves. In the dying seconds and after a quick counter Lalllemand beat Matijas from a good cross and took the three points to Dender.
Beerschot set the pace in the first half and created the better chances but Verlinden saw his shot saved by Gies while Keita was unlucky when his drive went narrowly wide. Our French striker got another opporunity after a free kick from Matthys but again his shot was not on target. Dender threatened just once when Matijas couldn't hold a slippery ball but Mbarki headed wide.
Also after the break Beerschot got the better scoring opportunities for Keita and Verlinden but goalkeeper Gies saved once again... and again. In the last minute of the game Dender struck after a swift move on the wing and a neat cross from which Lallemand was quicker than Matthys and Matijas and tapped in the winning goal.
In added on time our Mannekes played all or nothing, came close to an equaliser but Tshimanga's drive came off the crossbar. Hard luck and agony for Beerschot.
