Beerschot were beaten by Division 1A side Oud-Heverlee Leuven after an even and enjoyable game. Andreas Wieland's team produced some good football, created the better scoring opportunities but OHL were more efficient in the box and eventually won 2-1.
Shengelia opened the score for the home team but Ryan Sanusi equalised with a low shot from 20 yards, after Vaca and Shankland had come close minuites earlier. On the brink of half time Holzhauser put OHL 2-1 up from the penalty spot.
Beerschot kept the pressure on in the second half, with Thibaud Verlinden in a starring role. He was denied twice by OHL goalkeepr Jackers.
