Frédéric Frans is Beerschot's brand new U23 coach in Amateur Division 3. The 34 year old replaces Cederique Tulleners who was in charge of Beerschot's youngsters last season. Frans will also be in Beerschot's coaching staff for the first team in the capacity of assistent to head coach Andreas Wieland. "I am over the moon Beerschot offers me this opportunity", Frans says.
"After I hung up my boots as a player the board and I discussed the opportunity to stay at the club in another role. I feel good here at Beerschot and made that clear immediately. We reached an agreement quite quickly. I consider this as a first but important step in my aim to become a coach."
"On Monday I started my new career as an assistent with the A squad during the first training session towards the start of the 2023-24 season. A good introduction it is for when I take over as Beerschot's U23 team next month, especially as a handful of youngsters are training with the first team squad in this build up period. I will also be the go between between the U23's and the first team squad. I am eager to make this double job work", Fré Frans smiles.
