Beerschot have signed 23 year old midfielder Dean Huiberts on loan from Dutch Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle until the end of the season. He played more than 80 matches both in the first and second division in Holland.
Huiberts started playing football at DOS Kampen, then joined FC Twente and later PEC Zwolle. "I played quite a few matches in Zwolle and I was in the squad when we clinched promotion from the Keuken Kampioen Divisie to the Eredivisie ast season", Huiberts recalls. "It was a wonderful experience."
"What kind of player am I? I love to run, am strong in one-on-one's and offensively orientated", he continues. "I think I'll adapt quickly as Beerschot's system is very similar to the one I was used to at PEC."
"Dean was on our wanted list for a while already", technical manager Gyorgy Csepregi picks in. "He's physically strong, a real pitbull in duels and very powerful. A good allrounder and an asset for our midfield where he can compete with Ryan Sanusi, Welat Cagro and Axl Van Himbeeck. It gives us an extra option to play in a three man midfield system."
