Lommel – Beerschot: 3-0
Beerschot were outplayed and out-countered by a super efficient Lommel on Wednesday night. It resulted in a heavy 3-0-defeat.
The home team pushed our Mannekes back from the start and scored an early goal that set them on their way. Lommel countered fast after a Beerschot corner and Talvitie rounded off a nice one touch combination. Only Reyners and Cargo responded but neither of their shots were on target.
Lommel remained the better team. When Matijas was unable to cover a high ball Konstantopoulos reacted well and swiftly with a tackle to prevent a second Lommel goal. However, on the brink of half time the home team doubled their advantage after a mistake in the build up. Dermane curled the ball in the far corner.
It was an uphill struggle from then on. Beerschot upped the tempo after the break, Michez and Reyners came close but it was Lommel who scored again on the break, with Vancsa beating Matijas for the 3-0 final score.
