Beerschot lost to Anderlecht in a friendly on Saturday lunchtime after an enjoyable game of football. Thibaud Verlinden hit the post in a strong first half, Anderlecht scored the only goal after the break.
Andreas Wieland's team were very much on top in the first half and came very close when Verlinden's shot on goal came off the post. Anderlecht fielded a strong team, missed some defenders who were on international duty, but had stars like ThorganvHazard, Benito Raman and Mats Rits in their ranks.
Lots of substitutions during the break and Anderlecht took over command in the second half. Lucas Vazquez scored the only goal of the match after a long run through thr heart of the Beerschot defence for a narrow victory.
